A head-on collision late Monday afternoon, Sept. 22, left one person dead and five people injured. The accident happened on Highway 70, about three miles east of the Highway 89 junction. A 4-door Toyota Matrix heading eastbound crossed the center yellow line and collided head on with a Ford F-250. According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of the Matrix was pronounced dead at the scene. The five passengers of the truck were all injured – two with major injuries and 3 with moderate injuries. Two of the passengers were juveniles. The victims have not yet been identified. According to CHP Sgt. Austin Matulonis, another driver reported the Matrix as being driven erratically just prior to the crash.
As of January 30, 2015, GwiGames has reported that Kevin is finally taking his first steps since the crash.
